2015 4-star PF Moustapha Diagne has announced he will make his college decision on May 31. Diagne, 6-9, 250 lbs, attends Pope John XXIII in New Jersey. He had every major college powerhouse involved in his recruitment, but will ultimately decide between Syracuse or Memphis.
247sports' crystal ball for the 4-star PF currently has 19 predictions, all of them choosing the Orange.
According to d1circuit.com, Diagne is averaging 23.0 minutes per game for Playaz Basketball Club (NJ). Through 12 games, Moustapha is averaging 9.1 points, 6.7 boards per game, and 1.6 blocks per game. The Playaz Basketball Club is currently 10-2, leading division C.
Diagne is a very long, athletic player that would fit perfectly in SU's system. A perfect body for the middle of the zone, Tapha also brings a solid offensive game. He would be the fourth commit for the 2015 class, joining 5-star Malachi Richardson, and 4-star's Frank Howard and Tyler Lydon.
Tapha visited Syracuse on February 1 for the Duke vs. Syracuse game. Syracuse won the game 91-89 in OT, and the visit made a very good impression. Moustapha's mother, who lives in Senegal, was also in attendance and met the coaching staff.
SU's 2015 recruiting class is currently ranked No. 1, and would only improve if they could land a commitment from the talented power forward.
