Boeheim Believes Ennis Will Return
It's very rare that Jim Boeheim gets asked a question about whether someone will return or not without popping a gasket. Knowing what could potentially occur, Seth Davis asked coach the question anyway in a one-on-one interview and received some great insight.
After hearing the question, Boeheim replied with: "I don't think so. I think he knows and his father knows that he's a really good college player. He has to become a better shooter and get stronger to go to the next level. He'd go in the first round, but look at the number of first-round picks who are already out of the league in the last two years. It's a huge number."
Is that a good sign for Syracuse fans and the program? Yes. Now with Jim Boeheim and Carmelo Anthony on board, my continued belief is Tyler Ennis will return next season. He's projected a top-10 pick right now, with a lot of money at stake. Next year, Ennis would likely stay a lottery pick for the 2015 NBA draft. There is yet a decision to be made, and don't expect one. Ennis will announce after the season his plans on whether he will return or declare. If I was a betting man, I believe Ennis will be still playing in the Carrier Dome next season.
Tyler is playing roughly 34 minutes per game, averaging 11.8 points and 5.7 assists. His assist-to-turnover ratio is 3.97, which is good for third best in the nation.
